Radio wave attenuation occurs due to snow that accumulates on the antenna surface and the water film that forms when the snow melts. Therefore, even if you melt the snow with a snow melting heater, radio wave attenuation will occur if the water film remains.
When HIREC100 is applied, its super water repellency prevent snow from accumulating and no water film is formed, ensuring stable reception.
Table 1 Comparison of radio wave attenuation by antenna countermeasure
measures | Untreated | snow melting heater | HIREC100 | HIREC100 + snow melting heater |
---|---|---|---|---|
radio wave attenuation | Yes | Yes | almost none | almost none |
